Metallurgical Engineering Specialist

Arconic is currently in search of a Metallurgical Engineering Specialist to join our Rolled Products North America Team based out of Davenport, IA, or Alcoa, TN.

In this role, you will:

• Be a primary problem solver and solution implementor to improve the overall manufacturing process and eliminate waste, including: - reduce process losses (unplanned and planned scrap)
• improve operational capacity
• reduce cost
• reduce customer product claims
• Drive improvements at multiple organizational levels, including working with operations on the manufacturing shop floor.
• Facilitate process and product problem solving efforts such as trial DOE development and management, data collection and analysis, Gemba Walks, and Kaizens.
• Implement systems to capture and retain gains, capture institutional knowledge, and enable continuous improvement.
• Work safely and support location EHS improvement efforts.
