Product Support Advisor - FIFO

Job Summary:
Providing expert technical support to the customer, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising the performance and reliability of Cummins-powered equipment operating on site at Roy Hill. Acting as the primary technical interface between Cummins and the customer, you will work closely with maintenance personnel, planners, supervisors, and operational stakeholders to ensure equipment issues are identified, diagnosed, and resolved efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing fleet availability. You will work on a 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 rotating roster on Dayshift, flying directly into Roy Hill Mine.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Technician looking to take the next step in their career and transition into a more customer-focused technical leadership position. You will leverage your advanced diagnostic capabilities, product knowledge, and troubleshooting expertise to provide first-point escalation support for complex technical issues, equipment failures, and reliability concerns.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Providing on-site expert technical support and guidance for Cummins-powered equipment across the customer's fleet.
• Acting as the first point of escalation for complex breakdowns, technical challenges, and recurring equipment issues.
• Leading fault-finding, root cause analysis, and diagnostic activities to identify and resolve equipment failures effectively.
• Coordinating and supporting repair strategies to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective outcomes.
• Building strong working relationships with customer maintenance teams and operational personnel to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Monitoring fleet health and identifying opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and maintenance practices.
• Supporting preventative maintenance initiatives through the review of equipment data, service history, fault trends, and condition monitoring reports.
• Providing technical recommendations and guidance on product improvements, repairs, overhaul planning, and maintenance strategies.
• Assisting with warranty investigations, technical reporting, and documentation to support both customer and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborating with Cummins engineering, service, and product support teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site and company safety standards and procedures.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Australian Recognised Trade Cert in Heavy Mechanical or Plant
Australian Drivers Licence
Experience:
Significant field service Expereince
Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with Cummins HHP Engines
Customer service experience
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
