HVAC Technician - Temporary

East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is seeking a skilled and dependable Temporary HVAC Technician to provide short-term support. This position will assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems across campus. This is a temporary position with assignments and hours based on departmental needs. The employee must be available to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Overtime and emergency response may be required.
Responsibilities may include:

• Installing, repairing, adjusting, and servicing HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Assisting with pumps, air compressors, thermostats, and control systems.
• Fabricating and repairing sheet metal and HVAC-related components.
• Supporting Building Maintenance staff with other HVAC-related duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will have practical HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
