About The Role

The Talent & Development Specialist serves as the facility's primary talent acquisition resource and is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and workforce development initiatives. This role manages the full recruitment lifecycle to attract and hire qualified talent while also coordinating company-wide training programs, learning systems, employee development initiatives, and workforce partnerships. The position works closely with leaders across the organization to ensure staffing needs, training requirements, compliance obligations, and employee development objectives are effectively supported.
Tasks & Responsibilities

Serve as the facility's primary recruiter, managing the full talent acquisition lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate selection, offer management, pre-employment screening, onboarding, and new hire integration.

Build and maintain talent pipelines through proactive recruiting strategies, community outreach, educational partnerships, career fairs, social media, and employer branding initiatives to support current and future workforce needs.

Coordinate company-wide training and development programs, including safety, operational, technical, compliance, leadership, and professional development training, ensuring employees are properly qualified and prepared to perform their work safely and effectively.

Administer learning and development systems and programs, including training assignments, completion tracking, reporting, learning records, corporate development initiatives, and workforce development partnerships.

Partner with department leaders to identify staffing, training, qualification, and development needs while supporting workforce capability, succession planning, and organizational objectives.

Promote a strong safety culture through personal adherence to safety standards, coordination of training and qualification requirements, active participation in safety initiatives, and support of workforce readiness and regulatory compliance efforts.

Monitor recruitment and training metrics, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

Support additional Human Resources initiatives and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, training coordination, learning and development, human resources, or a related field,
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and maintaining training records preferred.
  • Experience coordinating training programs, workforce development initiatives, or educational partnerships preferred.
  • Knowledge of recruiting practices, onboarding processes, adult learning principles, and training administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret complex documentation and reports.
