Product Engineering Manager - Tulsa

This role provides technical and organizational leadership across the product lifecycle, partnering closely with product management, operations, manufacturing, quality, reliability, field operations and sales to develop products that deliver reliable performance, competitive cost, manufacturability and differentiated value.
The Ideal candidate combines strong mechanical/electrical engineering fundamentals with extensive experience in ESP systems, downhole equipment, failure analysis, product development and oil field operating environments.

• Lead Engineering activities for the development and commercialization of new ESP and artificial lift products
• Establish product requirements based on customer needs, field conditions, competitive products, reliability targets and business objectives
• Lead Engineering product development activities through design, prototype, qualification, commercialization and sustaining
• Develop and maintain product architectures, specifications, design standards and engineering requirements
• Ensure products are designed for performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability and cost effectiveness
• Lead engineering design reviews, technical reviews, and product readiness assessments
• identify opportunities for technology development and product differentiation
• drive standardization and modularization of product designs where appropriate
• Lead Engineering change processes and ensure appropriate technical justification ands documentation
• Ensure Engineering standards and product documentation remain current
• partner with cross functional teams such as quality, operations, manufacturing and reliability to drive product improvements

Lead, mentor and develop a team of product and design engineers

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of engineering experience in oil and gas, artificial lift, rotating equipment or a closely related industry
• experience with electrical submersible pump systems and downhole artificial lift equipment
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects and/or engineering/technical teams
• strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
• experience with product development and sustaining engineering
• Experience with engineering change management and configuration control
• strong experience with failure analysis and root cause investigation
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, test data and field performance data
• some experience of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability
