Pain Medicine-Senior Specialist

The Senior Specialist in Pain Medicine is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and multidisciplinary management of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. The role involves providing evidence-based pain management, developing individualized treatment plans, performing appropriate interventional procedures, and collaborating with other medical specialties to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, interventional procedures (such as nerve blocks, injections), physical therapy, and psychological support.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, psychologists, surgeons, and primary care physicians.
• Utilize advanced pain management techniques and stay updated with new research and treatments.
• Oversee and mentor junior doctors, specialists in training, or pain medicine teams.
• Participate in clinical audits, research projects, and continuing professional development.
• Educate patients and families about pain management strategies and coping mechanisms.
• Ensure adherence to best clinical practices, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
