Network Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides installation, configuration, and technical support for personal computer hardware, operating systems, and approved software applications.
• Delivers exceptional customer-focused technical assistance to end users, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
• Delivers end‑user support for computer equipment and applications, resolving issues and assisting with system upgrades and replacements.
• Maintains accurate documentation, notes, and inventory.
• Works cooperatively with Information Systems staff, demonstrating strong teamwork and positive communication to achieve operational goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major in information systems, computer science or related field is desired; an Associate degree may be considered.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, and common business applications.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and standard troubleshooting procedures.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless connectivity.
• Ability to install, configure, and support workstations, peripherals, and approved software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical users.
• Effective problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office and light technical environment. Occasional travel between facilities and participation in scheduled after-hours maintenance or on-call rotation may be required.
