Manufacturing Expeditor

The Manufacturing Expeditor will serve as the primary link between raw material inventories and production machines in the early stages of manufacturing. Working closely with the Prep/Pre‑Fab team, you will coordinate the flow of parts and supplies to the appropriate work centers, ensuring that production schedules stay on track. You will also assist other manufacturing departments by transporting pieces and parts across the facility, helping to sustain a smooth and efficient operation.

• Retrieve and deliver materials, components, and supplies from the Prep/Pre‑Fab area to designated work centers on schedule.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality before dispatching to production lines.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements using the company's inventory system.
• Communicate any delays, shortages, or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams to prioritize inbound shipments for production needs.
• Assist in the staging and organization of materials for upcoming shifts.
• Support other manufacturing departments by moving parts and equipment as required.
• Perform routine inspections of transport equipment (carts, forklifts) to ensure safety and functionality.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline material flow and reduce waste.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental policies while performing duties.
• High school diploma, GED, or technical/manufacturing coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role.
• Ability to obtain Forklift Certifications as well as Overhead Crane Certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, part numbers, and work orders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift 50 lb regularly
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a Health Screening
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime or shift changes as production demands require.
