The position
Redox is seeking a Food Safety Team Leader to complement the existing team to uphold and maintain food safety compliance across the business. Daily tasks and responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality documentation control program relevant to food ingredients and raw materials supplied by the business.
• Maintaining live Aust Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) PIF forms for active Food products
• Ensuring the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) is implemented, maintained, and updated.
• Initiate, review and follow up preventative and corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Chair Food Safety Committee Meetings and report on the status and effectiveness of the FSMS
• Provide professional Food Safety support to Redox staff, customers, and suppliers
• Prepare, lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits
• Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the Food Defence Plan.
• Review Food Safety Inspection Reports, initiate and follow-up corrective Actions.
• Operate within company procedures and highlight items that could lead to operational efficiencies

About you
The ideal candidate will display exceptional verbal and written skills, excellent time management skills and have intermediate computer literacy skills in the Microsoft suite.

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/Technology
• Previous experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Audits
• Fast and accurate data-entry skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
• The ability to analyse and problem solve
• Ability to communicate with staff at various levels and divisions of the business
