Research Fellow (Civil Engineering)

School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a school under College of Engineering and is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. The key objective of this position is to support the development of simulation models for coastal infrastructure, such as seawalls and dikes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop simulation models.
• Conduct laboratory-scale tests.
• Validate the models using field test data.
• Publish research findings/papers in high-quality top journals.
• Prepare proposals for further research and development.
• Mentor and supervise students.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in machine learning and structural health monitoring.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in ABAQUS and laboratory testing.
• Ability to work independently and develop solutions within strict timelines.
