Director - Construction Management

The Director of Construction Management is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The role oversees contractors, consultants, and project teams while managing stakeholder relationships and driving effective project governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the construction management function across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Develop and implement construction execution strategies, methodologies, and delivery plans.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and risk management activities.
• Manage and monitor the performance of contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, progress reports, and change requests.
• Coordinate with design, development, procurement, and operations teams to ensure project alignment.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize impact on delivery.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with internal departments, government entities, contractors, and executive leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in construction management.
• Prepare executive reports and presentations on project performance, key risks, and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in construction and project delivery, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, infrastructure, real estate, or mega-development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, scheduling, and cost management.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and industry best practices.
