About The Role
About Leena AI
Leena AI is the world’s largest independent employee-facing Agentic AI company. Our platform lets employees get answers and get work done across every business system through a single conversation — cutting IT, HR, and finance ticket volume by around 70% at the enterprises that deploy us.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in New York, we serve 500+ customers across 90+ countries — including Nestlé, MongoDB, Coca-Cola, and Etihad Airways — with 200+ integrations and support for 100+ languages. We’ve raised $40M+ from Greycroft, Bessemer Venture Partners, B Capital, and Y Combinator.
The Role
You will be the person who decides what videos Leena AI makes.
There is no art director above you. Nobody hands you a storyboard, a style frame, or a brief that has already been thought through. You take a business problem — we need to own a new category, this launch has to reach CIOs, our customer stories aren’t traveling — and come back with what the video should be, what it looks like, and how it gets seen.
That means the whole line: the idea, the narrative, the art direction, the animation and the edit, and the distribution plan that puts it in front of the right people. If any one of those reads as somebody else’s job, this is not the right role.
We are not hiring a pair of hands. We can buy execution. What we cannot buy is someone who treats this like their own business — who watches what is landing in the market, notices what our competitors do well, and walks in saying “here are three videos we should make this quarter, here is why each matters commercially, and here is how each one travels.”
If your instinct is to wait for a brief, you will be underused here. If your instinct is to argue for the thing you think we should make, you will have more room than most companies will ever give you.
What you'll own
The slate
- Decide what we make and what we stop making — a running point of view on which videos are worth producing and what each is for commercially.
- Turn business problems into narratives: category films, launches, customer stories, event films, thought leadership, social series.
Concept and art direction
- Write and storyboard your own work. Set the visual language for each piece — frame design, typography, color, pacing, tone.
- Build a video identity for Leena AI that is coherent everywhere and unmistakably ours, and art-direct external partners when we use them.
Production
- Animate and edit at a high craft level yourself. After Effects and Premiere Pro are daily tools, not résumé lines.
- Cover the range — motion graphics, kinetic type, UI motion, product films, interview and event edits, short-form cutdowns — and maintain the template and asset systems that keep us fast.
Distribution and outcome
- Ship every piece with a plan: where it runs, in which formats, with what hook, cut properly per platform rather than one master reposted everywhere.
- Pay attention to what happened after it went live, and bring that into the next piece. Own the loop, not just the file.
How we work with Leena AI
Leena AI is an AI-first company, and that applies to how we make things, not just what we sell. We use AI to compress everything repeatable — rotoscoping, transcription and captioning, cleanup, versioning and resizing, first-pass boards — so human hours go into concept, taste, and craft. We expect you to be fluent and to keep getting more fluent, and to know when the output only looks finished.
How we will evaluate
- Reel screen — we review your work before any call.
- Craft conversation — 45 minutes through two or three pieces with our senior designers.
- Motion craft session at our office — roughly 3.5 hours. We give you the script; you design and animate. No take-home.
- Final round — 60 minutes. Come with three videos you think Leena AI should make and how each would travel. Rough is fine — we want the thinking, not a deck.
We aim to close in two to three weeks and to give you a clear answer either way.
Details
- Location: Gurugram, India — with meaningful in-office overlap with the marketing and design team.
- Hours: Full-time, with some overlap with US time zones given our customer and leadership base.
- Compensation: Competitive and benchmarked to senior creative talent; we’ll discuss range on the first call.
Leena AI is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate applicants on craft and capability, and welcome candidates from every background.
What we’re looking for Non-negotiable
- Exceptional, current taste. Well-composed, well-typeset, well-paced, and unmistakably of this moment. Judged from your reel, not your résumé.
- Real end-to-end ownership. Pieces you concepted, art-directed, animated or cut, and saw through to release. If your best work happened because someone else set the direction, this isn’t the role.
- You bring the ideas. Evidence you have proposed work rather than received it — and that some of it got made.
Must Have
- 5–8 years in motion, video, or brand film, in-house or at an agency or studio.
- Marketing and brand work for brands people have heard of. You understand how video does commercial work. They don’t have to be B2B or SaaS — consumer, media, and agency backgrounds welcome.
- Advanced After Effects and Premiere Pro. Considered timing, easing, and weight; and hours of raw footage into something tight, captioned, and well-paced.
- Design craft in the frame. Typography, composition, color. A motion designer who can’t design a still frame is an animator; this role needs both.
- Narrative instinct. You can find the story in a dry product capability or a rambling customer call and structure it so it lands.
- Distribution literacy. You know what dies on LinkedIn, what a pre-roll needs in three seconds, and how to build for sound-off.
- Clear communication in American English. You can pitch an idea and defend a decision with a reason rather than a preference.
Nice to Have
- Figma — useful with our design team, genuinely not a gate here. Plus 3D (Blender, C4D), Rive, illustration, sound design, or live-action shoot experience.
No specific degree and no SaaS background required. Your reel decides this.
Your reel
Required — applications without one won’t be reviewed. Under two minutes, plus three projects broken out. For each, say plainly what was yours: concept, art direction, animation, edit, or all of it. Include one piece you concepted (tell us the business problem), one you animated end to end, and one where you can tell us where it ran and what happened after.
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation
- Opportunity to work in a fast-growing, global enterprise Agentic AI platform
- Continuous learning and development opportunities.
- Collaborative and inclusive company culture.
