Trust Strategic Lead for MFL

The Role
In this strategic position, you will be the driving force behind the quality of Modern Foreign Languages and achievement across our academies. You will work alongside our Executive Principal Secondary Strategy and other subject Trust Strategic Leads to define what "exceptional" looks like in Modern Foreign Languages, ensuring our curriculum is rigorous, engaging, and life-enhancing.
Beyond the curriculum, you will lead our Trust wide Modern Foreign Languages strategy to break down barriers to language learning, raising aspirations and opening doors for every student. You will ensure our young people build confidence, cultural awareness, and strong communication skills.

You are an Modern Foreign Languages specialist with a proven track record of impact. You possess the strategic mindset to lead curriculum reform and the interpersonal skills to mentor staff at all levels. Whether you are advising on recruitment or leading Trust-wide CPD, you will be an ambassador for our "Students First" ethos.
About Our Team
The successful colleague will join a brilliant team of Curriculum Trust Strategic Leads who have strategic oversight of our subject curriculum areas. This team is line-managed by the Executive Principal for Secondary Strategy, Cara Ackroyd.
