Senior Engineer - Quality

• Ensure effective control of CTQs, dimensional characteristics and welding-related special characteristics.
• Evaluate and audit welding processes, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and welding consumable controls.
• Ensure effective control of welding parameters, preheating, interpass temperature, distortion and weld quality.
• Review and audit NDT processes such as VT, MT, PT and UT, as applicable.
• Ensure proper control of dimensional inspection, alignment, flatness, distortion and critical interfaces.
• Verify fabrication jigs, fixtures, measuring equipment and calibration.
• Ensure effective surface preparation, blasting, painting/coating and corrosion-protection controls.
• Verify coating requirements including surface cleanliness, profile, DFT, environmental conditions and paint system compliance.
• Conduct VDA 6.3, process, product and special-process audits at suppliers.
• Lead supplier 8D / CAPA and root-cause analysis for fabrication and sheet metal quality issues.
• Drive permanent corrective actions for welding defects, dimensional deviations, distortion, cracks, porosity, undercut, lack of fusion and coating defects.
