Accounting Supervisor - Accounts Receivable

About The Role

Job Purpose or Objective(s):The Accounting Supervisor oversees accounting functions and processes to ensure compliance with approved Finance policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Salary Range: $69,000 -77,000
Primary Tasks:

Supervise the work of accountants and accounting clerks responsible for maintaining and preparing accounting ledgers, journals, invoices, and financial statements.

Review account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements for reasonableness and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Monitor day-to-day progress toward employee development goals and provide guidance to support performance and growth.

Manage employee schedules and leave requests to support departmental coverage and operational needs.

Analyze financial information and prepare reports as required.

Recommend improvements to training, internal controls, and departmental procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or four years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, federal regulations, and organizational policies and procedures as they relate to financial statements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a supervisory role or completion of management training.
  • Basic data entry skills.
  • Four [4] years of accounting experience.
