In-House Registry Staff Nurse, Day

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as an In-House Registry Staff Nurse in CCD 6 Pre-Op Recovery. Here you will be responsible for providing nursing care that is goal-directed and adapted to the needs of an individual, family and/or community during health and illness. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity in Hyde Park.
An In-House Registry Staff Nurse is a registered professional nurse (RN) who manages patient-centered care that is outcome directed. Patient-centered care principles and professional nursing practice standards provide the foundation for the nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care provided. The staff nurse assumes primary responsibility and accountability for all patient care personally provided and that provided by those directly under their supervision.
Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
• Associate Degree Nurses are required to enroll in a BSN program within six to nine months of hire and make progress toward and complete their BSN degree within 30 months.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Active BLS certification.
