Maintenance Manager

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading maintenance operations and asset reliability programs that maximize plant performance, equipment uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Maintenance teams to develop maintenance strategies, manage capital and maintenance projects, and ensure the facility operates at peak performance while supporting current and future business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead all maintenance and asset care activities to maximize equipment reliability, plant capacity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while monitoring key performance indicators and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance budgets, major maintenance expenditures, and support capital planning activities while controlling costs and communicating significant variances.
• Direct and develop maintenance personnel through effective hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and workforce development initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Maintenance teams to implement equipment upgrades, maintenance projects, process improvements, and world-class maintenance best practices.
• Ensure maintenance activities, contractor services, inventory management, and project execution are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices, enforcing EH&S policies, and actively participating in plant safety initiatives.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and instructions as defined in our Quality Management System (QMS), Employee Handbook, Health and Safety manual, or any other instruction issued by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Five to nine years of maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or process production environment.
• Experience leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Demonstrated experience managing maintenance budgets, capital projects, and maintenance personnel.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance planning, root cause analysis, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems (CMMS); experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, and ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Bilingual Spanish and/or Italian language skills are a plus.
• High level of personal integrity, supporting MAPEI's Code of Ethics.
