About The Role

Join a premier, high-growth Australian mortgage advisory firm dedicated to delivering seamless, tailored lending solutions for residential clients.
This critical role centers on managing the technical assessment, credit structuring, and compliance packaging of residential loan applications. Working alongside senior leadership, you will serve as the operational backbone of the credit team, ensuring every application is thoroughly vetted, fully compliant, and submission-ready.

  • Credit & Income Assessment: Complete comprehensive income assessments across PAYG and complex self-employed structures, including companies, trusts, and sole traders.
  • Servicing & Lender Selection: Calculate borrowing capacity using Quickli and lender-specific calculators; research lender policy to identify suitable options based on policy alignment and servicing.
  • Deal Packaging & Submission Notes: Prepare complete, high-quality application packages, including detailed lender submission notes, file commentary, and pricing requests.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Proactively audit documentation, living expenses, and liabilities to address missing information, inconsistencies, or compliance gaps prior to final broker sign-off.
  • Valuations & Pipeline Maintenance: Order and review property valuations where required; update and maintain accurate records within the broker CRM and relevant lender portals.
  • Comparative Analysis: Prepare detailed lender comparison reports and supporting rationale to substantiate proposed lending strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in Australian mortgage broking, credit analysis, or loan processing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Quickli, lender calculators, ApplyOnline, and Australian broker CRMs.
  • Credit Analysis Skills: Strong expertise in residential lending policies, responsible lending standards, and complex self-employed income verification.
  • Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of Australian regulatory compliance requirements and broker file management standards.
  • Communication & Detail: Excellent written English skills for drafting clear submission notes, paired with exceptional attention to detail.

DESIRED (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Growth Mindset: Ability to work autonomously with an eye toward progressively taking on end-to-end file ownership, including direct application lodgement and conditions management.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: A strong analytical mindset capable of anticipating policy or credit bottlenecks early in the file assessment process.
  • Refined File Management: Prior experience operating in a high-volume broker setup with strict file quality guidelines.
