About The Role
Job Purpose:
Plan, lead and direct the Organisation Development and Special Project function by formulating strategic short- and long-term plans encapsulating critical interventions and applications necessary to deliver outputs, managing key functional areas and establishing standards and performance measures to establish levels of efficiency, control, and aligning and/or developing policies and procedures accordingly and managing all aspects of Change Management and Business System Analysis.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Undertakes forward planning, strategic alignment and defines functional objectives to support the Units strategic intent and deliverables.
- Directs the alignment and functioning of key areas contained in the Departmental structure.
- Directs outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Department.
- Prepares capital/operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
- Prepares and/or comments or implements the provision of policies, procedures and monitors the effectiveness of systems and controls.
- Manages the implementation, key deliverable phases and reporting requirements in respect of major complex programmes.
- Translates the vision of the Department or Unit into action by enhancing the business performance through the focus on organisational design, culture shift, senior team effectiveness, collaboration, certifications etc.
- Disseminates functional and operational information on the immediate, short- and long term objectives, current applications and constraints.
- Manages the administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and results indicators of the Department.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in one of the following fields:
- Organisational Development
- Operations Management
- Industrial Psychology
- Human Resource Management
Or any other relevant or related qualification
- Valid motor vehicle driving license
- 8 years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a senior management level.
Preferred Requirements:
- Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in one of the following fields:
- Organisational Development
- Operations Management
- Industrial Psychology
- Human Resource Management
Or any other relevant or related qualification
- 9 Years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a senior management level.
