Senior Chef de Partie - Pastry & Bakery

Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to oversee the pastry section and support the Sous Chef Pastry in daily operations. You will lead multiple Chefs de Partie and junior pastry staff, maintain the highest standards of pastry and bakery quality, and help coordinate the section during busy service. This role suits a strong, experienced pastry cook ready to take on wider leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pastry section and coordinate closely with other kitchen sections during service.
• Prepare, bake, and present pastry and bakery items that consistently meet the company's quality standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, and Commis staff in the pastry section.
• Oversee stock planning, ordering, and cost control across the pastry section.
• Support the Sous Chef Pastry in menu development, tastings, and quality checks.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards set by the company and local health authorities.
• Step in for the Sous Chef Pastry when needed and help train new pastry staff.
• Pastry or bakery diploma or degree is preferred; specialized training in a relevant cuisine is a strong plus.
• At least 5 to 7 years of pastry or bakery experience, including time as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Excellent leadership and baking skills; able to manage a section and mentor a team under pressure.
