Dark Web Monitoring Team is a non-standard team of 11 people comprising data acquisition, engineering, and business-oriented minds. This team has originated from Nord Security Risk Management and Information Security Departments and recently became a part of standalone cybersecurity product NordStellar. Our goal is to protect businesses and consumers from cyber threats by giving them an in-depth view of the surface, deep, and dark web, monitoring their brand health, and protecting their attack surfaces. Building cyber threat intelligence products is a new frontier in the cybersecurity world and we are on top of it! We want to make the internet safer by disrupting the criminal underground.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using Linux command line and other tools;
• -
• Analyze and research data breaches or other cybersecurity incidents;
• -
• Review the data the team collects, identify what is useful, and prepare and validate datasets that cannot be ingested automatically;
• -
• Organize and maintain an archive of collected databases, ensuring that everything is recorded accurately and is easily accessible;
• -
• Acquire stolen datasets from a range of sources;
• -
• Help automate data ingestion processes.

Core Requirements

Fluency in Lithuanian and English;

• Familiarity with basic data mining techniques;
• -
• A genuine interest in cybersecurity and the cybercriminal underground;
• -
• Detail-oriented and reliable when working with data;
• -
• Analytical thinking abilities, with a problem-solving mindset;
• -
• Ambition to learn and grow as a data acquisition professional, and to pick up new tools quickly.

Bonus Points For

• Comfort working in a Unix environment and using basic Linux shell tools;

• Experience working with large or messy datasets;
• -
• Any coding or scripting experience (e.g. Python);
• -
• Familiarity with handling different data and file formats.
