The Sumter Family YMCA is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Membership Representative to join our team. If you enjoy helping others, creating a welcoming environment, and making a positive impact in your community, we’d love to hear from you!

Position: Membership Representative

Part-Time

Schedule

• Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Rotating Saturdays (as needed): 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests with exceptional customer service.
• Answer phones and respond to member questions.
• Process memberships, program registrations, and payments.
• Assist with membership inquiries, account updates, and general administrative tasks.
• Promote YMCA programs, events, and membership opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
• Support the YMCA’s mission by creating a welcoming environment for members of all ages.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, professional, and team oriented.
• Previous customer service, retail, receptionist, or front desk experience is preferred but not required.
