About The Role

Imperative Logistics is looking for an Inside Sales Representative who shares in our core values of employee happiness, hard work, and a customer-first attitude. In this position, the Inside Sales Representative will be providing a high level of customer service, performing consultative sales to clients, and explaining the company’s services and benefits to potential and existing clients. This position is to focus on inside sales through client development to ultimately grow the company.

Imperative Logistics is a provider of premium logistics services specializing in the transportation of high-value and time-sensitive shipments across the healthcare, aerospace, entertainment, and electronics industries, among others. ASAP Expediting provides a full suite of specialized logistics services, including time-definite LTL (Deferred), airfreight, and other domestic and international expedited services, as well as an array of customized white-glove services.

Job Summary

In this position, the Inside Sales Representative will be providing a high level of customer service, performing consultative sales to clients, and explaining the company’s services and benefits to potential and existing clients. This role requires a motivated team player with exceptional communication and listening skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to be self-motivated and take direction. This position is to focus on inside sales through client development to ultimately grow the company.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and follow up on leads to establish sales and business development opportunities, while maintaining relationship with existing accounts
  • Build and maintain client relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals
  • Generate sales by pursuing accounts through diligently following up by utilizing various communication channels, including cold calling, to understand the clients’ needs and effectively sell solutions
  • Convert infrequent shipping accounts into established and consistent accounts
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry and current market conditions
  • Manage a CRM system with a high volume of leads and effectively manage and create account profiles, including documenting detailed and accurate notes, verifying all information and user fields, and tracking all related actions into the database
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships and strong communications between accounts, and the operations team
  • Review sales performance regularly to ensure goals are being met and exceeded
  • Organize and distribute promotional materials to potential and existing accounts
  • Provide administrative and marketing support to the company and sales team as needed

Physical Requirements

The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard. This position may require travel as needed.
