Position Purpose

The Service Operations Assistant supports front-end operations by helping ensure efficient customer service, accurate cash handling, associate support, and compliance with company operating procedures. This position assists store leadership with service execution, customer issue resolution, scheduling support, and daily operational activities while contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations

• Assist in coordinating daily front-end operations to ensure smooth and efficient customer service.
• Support checkout operations and monitor service levels throughout the day.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures.
• Ensure front-end areas remain organized, stocked, and customer-ready.
• Communicate operational priorities and customer service expectations to associates.

Customer Service

• Provide exceptional customer service and promote a customer-first culture.
• Resolve customer concerns, questions, and service issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist customers with transactions, returns, exchanges, and store inquiries.
• Support customer recovery efforts to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure a welcoming and positive shopping experience throughout the store.

Associate Support & Development

• Assist with training new associates on customer service standards, operating procedures, and company expectations.
• Provide guidance and support to front-end associates during daily operations.
• Reinforce company policies and service standards.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Recognize opportunities for associate coaching and development.

Cash Handling & Compliance

• Assist with cash office functions and cash accountability procedures as assigned.
• Monitor compliance with cash handling, loss prevention, and operational policies.
• Support register accountability and investigate discrepancies when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor front-end conditions and address operational concerns proactively.
• Assist with labor deployment and service coverage throughout the day.
• Support execution of company programs, promotions, and operational initiatives.
• Maintain proper supplies and equipment needed for front-end operations.
• Partner with store leadership to identify and implement process improvements.

Safety & Compliance

• Support store safety initiatives and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Report and address safety concerns promptly.
• Help ensure all associates follow established company and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit readiness and operational compliance reviews.
