POSITION SUMMARY

Provides intermediate level maintenance, repairs, and support for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Conduct routine inspections, execute preventative maintenance, handle work orders, and assist with site safety and cleaning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Preventative Maintenance: Performs routine inspections and repairs on HVAC units (filters/drains), lighting, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems

General Repairs: Repairs electrical mechanical equipment, plumbing, sprinklers, walls, fencing, flooring, doors, windows, and furniture, including patching and painting

Building Operations: Monitors building systems, sets up furniture/equipment for events, and handles basic troubleshooting

Safety/Exterior Work: Performs building walkthroughs, roof inspections, landscaping, and safety inspections

Documentation: Tracks maintenance tasks and closes work orders using facility software

QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Competency Statement(s)

Walking/Standing: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift, including traveling between equipment locations within large manufacturing facilities. May walk several miles during a shift depending on work assignments.

Body Positioning: Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and work in restricted positions while accessing equipment. Ability to reach above shoulder level and overhead and work in awkward or restricted positions for extended periods

Climbing/Access: Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access structures and safely maneuver around, over, and between equipment, piping, and structural components to access work locations for the measurement, installation, inspection, adjustment, and removal of CMP tools, heater jackets, and heat tape, and associated components. Work may require maintaining balance and working from elevated or restricted-access locations while following applicable fall-protection and site safety requirements.

Safe Maneuvering: Ability to safely maneuver around, between, above, and below equipment, piping, structural components, and other obstructions to access equipment and process lines.

Lifting: Ability to lift, lower, carry, push, pull, position, and manipulate tools, parts, equipment, and materials using team lifting or approved material-handling equipment when required. ETI maximum lifting capacity for 1 person is 35lbs.

Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, gripping, grasping, and manipulation of hand tools, power tools, fasteners, electrical connections, and equipment components.

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment based on assigned hazards, including protective clothing, gloves, safety footwear, hearing protection, fall-protection equipment, and respiratory protection when required. Employees assigned respirator-required work must satisfy applicable OSHA respiratory-protection requirements, including medical evaluation, fit testing, and training.

Noise: Ability to work in environments that may include noise, elevated or reduced temperatures, chemical hazards, moving equipment, elevated work locations, and other industrial hazards, with required engineering controls, administrative controls, safe-work procedures, and PPE.

The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level.

The ability to read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.

The ability to perform the identified essential functions of the classification, including the operation of any machinery and/or equipment that is associated with performing the essential functions.

The ability to perform the essential functions of the position in a cross cultural, demanding and dynamic environment.

The ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat of harm to him/herself, others or property.

The ability to adhere to EBARA personnel policies and practices, including the attendance and punctuality requirements.

The ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, and at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

If a respirator is used in this role, the ability to successfully PASS annual respirator fit test and medical exam.

Education

High School, GED or Associates degree in Engineering, Electronics or equivalent experience.

Experience

0–2 years of experience in building maintenance or construction trades

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and air filters

Unclogging sinks/toilets and repairing faucets

Patching drywall and painting

Responding to general repair requests and emergency calls

Be on call on alternating weeks

This role generally requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

Use Electronic Devices to open and close maintenance work orders

Operate a variety of motorized vehicles and equipment in a safe and effective manner

Observe safety rules and regulations

Maintain punctuality and attendance at work

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work

Willing to occasionally travel to other sites throughout United States to support Facilities Maintenance
