About The Role

DescriptionJRC is seeking a Housekeeping Residential Day Monitor. This position is responsible for a variety of duties relating to the upkeep of all JRC residential and school buildings. This position reports to the Designer/Housekeeping Supervisor. It is an hourly, non-exempt full-time position. Hours of work are Monday–Friday 8:30am-5pm. Overtime can be required on short notice.

Essential Duties of the Position

Evaluating residences for cleanliness and addressing needs
Reports any major problems to the Designer/Housekeeping Supervisor
Reports all repair needs to the appropriate department
Monitors all inventory at residences
Decorate and organize residences as needed
Decorate and organize company events

QualificationsEducational/Work History Requirements:

One to five years direct care experience in a non-profit educational-residential program serving a mentally/behaviorally disordered population.
Stamina and physical endurance for elongated business days and demanding business schedule.
Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to function with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated Skills:

Excellent interpersonal /communication skills.
Ability to function well under constant deadlines.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Exhibit knowledge of verbal and physical techniques used when working with special education students.
Knowledge of state/federal rules and regulations governing educational/residential programs for mentally/multi-handicapped citizens.
Exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor.
Exhibit respect for the confidentiality of the position/department.

Physical Demands of Position:

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.
20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20 with corrective lenses.
Ability to stand and walk for at least 30% of the work day.
Ability to sit for at least 70% of the work day.
Position involves kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and handling
Valid driver’s license.
Normal depth perception is required.
