At The Williamsport Home, our Personal Care and Independent Living residents enjoy restaurant-style dining in a welcoming community atmosphere. We're seeking a dependable, motivated Cook to prepare high-quality meals while contributing to an exceptional dining experience.

What You'll Do:

Prepare and serve appetizing, nutritious meals according to menus and recipes
Ensure food is prepared safely and meets quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
Work collaboratively with dietary staff to provide excellent service
Assist with special meals, events, and resident dining preferences when appropriate

What We're Looking For:

Previous cooking experience in healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or institutional settings preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
A genuine desire to serve older adults

QualificationsEducation, Experience and Skills Required:

1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English;
2. Strong interpersonal skills
3. Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant;
4. Must either be Safe Serve Certified or attend Safe Serve training and successfully pass next available scheduled course within first year of employment.
