About the Role

We are seeking a customer-obsessed, analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative Manager of Digital Product Operations to lead day-to-day digital merchandising operations for our Decorative Accessories category across Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, and Dormify. This role owns strategy, execution, analysis, and maintenance of the product page, the most valuable page within our site, for this category.

The Manager serves as a champion of the customer experience on the product page, focusing equally on inspiration and information to drive conversion and revenue. This role owns the basket-building strategy, structural playbook, testing, and performance metrics of the product page. The Manager uses data, customer behavior, and cross-functional input to identify opportunities, reduce friction, and continuously improve the digital experience. Additionally, this role own all activities within our WCM platform including site builds and technology enhancement requests.

This role manages and develops at least one direct report and partners closely with Site Merchandising, Merchandising, Creative, UX/Product, Analytics, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver seasonal launches, category optimization, maintenance, and new tech functionality on time and with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Category Execution

  • Manage the SKU creation and generation of all product pages within the category for seasonal launches. Own testing in partnership with Site Merchandising and Creative for accuracy. Ensure on-time launch delivery based on careful calendar planning, workflow management, and prioritization.
  • Define, refine, and maintain the product page playbook for the category including basket-building, image/video strategy, structure, and UX/UI across desktop, mobile, and app. Ensure adherence to the playbook. Partner with Site Merchandising and Creative on changes and make recommendations based on data.
  • Maintain awareness of customer needs, category trends, competitive activity, business performance, and eCommerce best practices to inform recommendations and execution.

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Own weekly product page performance reporting for the category using analytics and data. Clearly communicate to cross functional stakeholders with insights and actions.
  • Monitor key product page metrics, including traffic, conversion funnel, product finding behavior, basket building, product recommendations, channel performance, and promotional performance.
  • Develop business recaps and actionable recommendations for cross-functional partners, escalating risks and opportunities as needed.

Customer Experience & Optimization

  • Champion the customer product page experience and drive optimizations that reduce friction and make the shopping journey more intuitive and inspiring. Develop strategies to weave storytelling and brand building moments into the purchase journey without adding friction.
  • Participate in A/B testing pertaining to the product page. Submit testing ideas, following a systematic and iterative approach.
  • Participate in weekly site testing. Triage ad hoc issues and perform maintenance updates.
  • Partner with UX/Product and Technology to launch new functionality, tools, and workflows.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Train, coach, and develop direct report(s), managing team priorities, workflow, and executional standards.
  • Create a collaborative, accountable team environment focused on customer-first execution, accuracy, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the PK/PT/DM brands in cross-functional meetings with Technology, mindful of the unique product page needs of these brands. Be the subject matter expert on PIP structure for the category.
  • Build strong working relationships with Merchandising, Site Merchandising, Creative, Analytics, Technology, and Operations partners to ensure alignment and flawless execution.

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of eCommerce merchandising or operations experience required.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Experience managing direct report(s) or developing team members in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; strong PowerPoint and business recap skills preferred.
  • Strong web analytics experience required; experience using Adobe Analytics highly preferred.
  • Experience using web content management, eCommerce, or site merchandising systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of site merchandising, customer journey optimization, product discovery, promotions, and digital storytelling.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and project management skills.
  • Comfort with AI and desire to continually search for workflow efficiency and optimization.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $110,000-$125,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
