Manager, Finance

The Opportunity

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, is a critical leadership role in Finance responsible for driving disciplined expense management across the organization. This leader will partner closely with business unit leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to oversee expense forecasting and planning, annual benchmarking, and expense reporting & analysis. The Manager will blend relationship-building capabilities, analytical and AI skills, and strong team leadership to deliver proactive expense governance, accountability, and continuous process improvement.

What to Expect

• Manage the forecasting and planning activities for the organization’s expenses, coordinating with all areas of the business to deliver expense forecasts and budgets in line with targets and industry benchmarks.
• Lead company-wide benchmarking activities to identify opportunities to sustain performance against industry peers.
• Develop ad hoc analysis and regular reporting to support expense management initiatives and monitor performance against targets.
• Design and execute sustainable processes to drive cross-organization accountability and disciplined expense management.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes including preparation and review of journal entries, trend analysis, reporting and audits.
• Develop, coach, mentor, and manage the performance of direct reports (3 Senior Financial Analysts).

What you Bring

• Completion of CPA (Canada) designation.
• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5 years progressive experience in Finance with experience in a people leadership role.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion and Spreadsheet Server is an asset.
• Experience leveraging generative AI platforms, specifically Google Gemini Enterprise.
• Strong financial analytical, modelling, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior executives.

Salary Range: $108,700-$158,700
