About The Role
Join the Financial Times, a leading global news organization known for its authority, integrity, and accuracy. As a Consumer Industries Correspondent, you will cover a diverse range of topics including food and drink, household and personal care products, and the UK farming industry. You will have the opportunity to break news on major companies, explore entrepreneurial challenger companies, and write about consumer behavior and economic developments. This role offers global reach and collaboration with correspondents worldwide.
- Generating ideas and breaking news related to the consumer industries sector, including food and drinks, household and personal care products.
- Seeking out a wide range of contacts in and around the industry to inform stories and generate scoops, and writing original longer-form pieces for the Companies section and other parts of the FT.
- Working closely and proactively with the data, visuals, and videos teams to produce ambitious and eye-catching projects, and collaborating with the deals team on M&A activity.
