Solutions Architect Manager (Public Sector)

Join GitLab as a Solutions Architect Manager for the Public Sector. In this role, you will lead a team of Solutions Architects, support high-impact public sector opportunities, and guide technical pre-sales work. You will collaborate with regional sales managers and cross-functional leaders, improve team practices, and model strong customer engagement. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity that requires a United States citizenship.

• Lead a team of Solutions Architects serving public sector customers, guiding technical pre-sales work and supporting high-impact opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional sales managers and cross-functional leaders to develop and execute account strategies for complex opportunities.
• Track team execution through key performance indicators, providing clear updates to peers and leadership, and improving team practices and execution strategies.

• Experience leading teams with accountability for execution, coaching, and performance
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and the practices that support secure, scalable adoption
• Knowledge of modern software development or operations practices across the software delivery lifecycle
• Leadership: 2+ years of experience leading high-performing teams, ideally in a global or remote environment
• Experience working with other managers and cross-functional partners to develop and carry out shared strategies
• Openness to bringing transferable leadership and technical experience from adjacent fields where customer outcomes, collaboration, and technical credibility are important
• Experience: 3-5 years experience in Public Sector
• Experience in technical pre-sales or a related information technology role that supports customer-facing solution design
• Experience supporting public sector customers and understanding the needs of regulated or mission-driven environments
• Ability to mentor others and give and receive constructive feedback in a clear, respectful way
