As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will work closely with the Test Engineering team to build, coordinate, and execute critical testing programs that validate the performance, safety, and reliability of our product line.   • Set up and execute a wide range of electrical and mechanical product tests, including safety, performance validation, and reliability tests.
  • Lead in-test reporting of progress, failures, and testing risks to the test engineering team, and collaborate with test and design engineers during post-test root cause analysis.
  • Fabricate various mechanical and electrical test fixtures using a range of manufacturing processes, and maintain all tools and equipment in the lab.
  • Experience creating custom wire harnesses and test fixtures with little oversight
  • Demonstrated experience working in and maintaining a lab development environment
  • Experience towing trailers or RVs
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and measurement devices
  • Experience instrumenting test articles with sensors such as accelerometers, thermocouples, and electrical sensors, and working off of a documented test plan
  • 6+ yrs experience working as a technician in the automotive/EV, cleantech, or aerospace industries
  • Experience with welding, shop, and fabrication equipment
  • Exposure to and proficiency with high voltage safety, power electronics, and electric motors and propulsion systems
  • Prior experience working in an automotive test lab
  • Experience with soldering and instrumenting circuit boards
  • Experience troubleshooting software and CAN messaging systems
  • Working knowledge of automotive and AC electrical systems
  • Experience generating technical documents for training and test report generation (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
