About The Role

Wake County EMS is excited to announce the expansion of its Quality Improvement office to better serve the residents and visitors of Wake County. As a Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist, you will work closely with the Medical Directors, Clinical Quality Officer and the Clinical Quality Improvement Supervisor to conduct quality improvement and assurance efforts of Wake County EMS. You will execute quality improvement projects, identify clinical concerns, help develop education for field staff, and work with other divisions to respond to requests for EMS Department data and information. Essential Functions: Gather and review clinical data to ensure safe and appropriate delivery of clinical care Review patient care reports as proscribed by the Medical Directors, Clinical Quality Officer or other staff Identify trends in clinical care which require improvement, and work with others within the division and department to develop plans to execute that improvement Provide direct constructive feedback to EMS staff in the form of written communication regarding patient care Work collaboratively with the Clinical Quality Officer and others to identify, create and maintain clinical measurements, reports and documentation Develop dashboards or other reporting methods which integrate single and multiple sources of data to provide insight into individual provider and system wide clinical performance Perform follow up evaluations of data to ensure appropriate data use, integrity and validation
