Job Summary Job Summary The SAP Functional Lead/Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end SAP S/4HANA functional design, implementation, enhancement, integration, and support across Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Project Systems (PS), and Finance integration for a construction and contracting business environment. The role ensures that procurement, inventory, project execution, billing, revenue recognition, cost control, and financial reporting processes are seamlessly integrated to support operational excellence, project profitability, governance, compliance, and business growth.The position works closely with Finance, Procurement,Commercial, Projects, Operations, Contracts, Stores, IT, and implementation partners to deliver integrated SAP solutions for construction project lifecycles, including project procurement, subcontracting, material planning, warehouse movements, sales contracts, milestone billing, down payments, WIP, results analysis, settlement, margin reporting, and period-end closing. Job Responsibilities 1 SAP S/4HANA Functional Management Lead the design, configuration, implementation, enhancement and support of SAP S/4HANA MM, SD and PS solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strong integration with FI/CO. Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management Manage SAP MM processes covering purchasing, source-to-pay, inventory management, services procurement, subcontracting, goods receipt, goods issue, GR/IR, invoice verification, valuation and automatic account determination. Order-to-Cash and Sales Integration Manage SAP SD processes including sales contracts, sales orders, pricing, billing, milestone billing, customer down payments, retentions, credit controls, accounts receivable and integration with revenue and profitability reporting. Project Systems and Project Accounting Support SAP PS processes covering WBS structures, networks, activities, budgets, commitments, project costing, procurement, material consumption, progress tracking, WIP, results analysis, settlement and project closure. MM, SD, PS and FI/CO Integration Ensure seamless integration between procurement, inventory, projects, commercial processes, billing, revenue, cost accounting, profitability analysis, asset accounting and financial reporting. SAP S/4HANA Transformation and Implementation Lead SAP implementation, rollout, migration, enhancement and stabilization initiatives, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, UAT, data migration, cutover, go-live and hypercare. Construction and EPC Business Process Support Ensure SAP solutions effectively support construction and EPC processes including project procurement, subcontracting, site inventory, material planning, project costing, milestone billing, advances, retentions, WIP, revenue recognition and project settlement. Business Process Improvement and Automation Review existing business processes, identify control and efficiency gaps, and implement SAP best practices, automation, workflows, Fiori applications and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and process standardization. Data Governance and Master Data Management Establish and maintain governance over SAP master data including materials, vendors, customers, projects, WBS elements, cost centres, profit centres, purchasing data, pricing and financial structures. Job Responsibilities 2 Financial Controls, Compliance and Audit Support Ensure SAP processes support IFRS, VAT/tax requirements, internal controls, audit requirements, segregation of duties, authorization controls, approval workflows and Delegation of Authority structures. Reporting and Analytics Support financial, project, procurement, commercial and management reporting, including project cost reporting, commitments, budget performance, margins, profitability, billing, revenue and period-end reporting through SAP and analytical platforms. Stakeholder and Business Relationship Management Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Projects, Commercial, Contracts, Operations, Stores, IT and senior management to gather requirements, resolve issues, prioritize enhancements and deliver integrated SAP solutions. Systems Integration and Vendor Management Coordinate with SAP functional and technical teams, ABAP, BASIS, integration, reporting teams and external implementation partners to ensure effective system performance, integration, issue resolution and delivery of SAP initiatives. Testing, Change Management and Deployment Manage functional testing, integration testing, UAT, defect resolution, business readiness, training, cutover, deployment and post-go-live stabilization for SAP changes and projects. User Training and Support Develop user guidance, training materials and process documentation and provide functional support to Finance, Procurement, Projects, Commercial, Operations and other SAP user groups. Multi-Project and Multi-Entity SAP Support Support SAP financial and operational structures across multiple construction projects, legal entities, business units and project locations while maintaining standardized processes, controls and reporting. Contract Accounting and Project Billing Ensure SAP supports construction and EPC contract requirements including milestone billing, advances, retentions, variations, claims, unbilled revenue, revenue recognition, project profitability and customer receivables. Continuous Improvement and SAP Roadmap Maintain an SAP functional roadmap aligned with business transformation objectives and continuously identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, system usability, automation, governance and financial control. Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills SAP S/4HANA Functional Expertise Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM, SD and PS modules, including configuration, integration, testing, implementation, enhancement and production support. Construction, EPC & Project Business Processes Strong understanding of construction and EPC processes including project procurement, subcontracting, inventory, project costing, WBS, budgets, commitments, milestone billing, retentions, WIP, results analysis and project settlement. SAP Finance Integration Strong knowledge of MM-FI, SD-FI and PS-FI/CO integration, including procurement accounting, inventory valuation, GR/IR, billing, revenue recognition, project costs, profitability, settlement and period-end closing. SAP Transformation, Data & Reporting Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA implementation and transformation methodologies, data migration, master data governance, Fiori, workflows, reporting, analytics, integration, UAT, cutover and hypercare. Governance, Controls & Business Process Improvement Knowledge of financial controls, IFRS, VAT/tax requirements, audit, segregation of duties, authorization controls, process standardization, automation, stakeholder management and continuous improvement. Log inSign Job Experience Financial Systems Experience: 8-10+ years of relevant experience Experience in financial systems, ERP finance, finance transformation, financial reporting, project accounting or a closely related discipline. Managerial Experience: 3-5+ years in a managerial or team-lead capacity Demonstrated responsibility for finance-system governance, implementation, optimization, user support and stakeholder coordination. EPC and Project-Based Environment: Preferred Experience within EPC, construction, infrastructure or Oil & Gas organizations, including exposure to project accounting and cost-control requirements. ERP and Reporting Platforms: Strong practical experience Hands-on experience supporting major ERP and reporting solutions such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI or equivalent enterprise platforms. Controls and Process Improvement: Proven experience Experience strengthening master data, system access, workflows, internal controls, audit support and finance-process efficiency.
