<h1>Freelancer Senior UI Designer</h1>
<p>We are seeking a <strong>Freelancer Senior UI Designer</strong> to lead visual design direction and execution across digital programs and platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong UI craft, CRM experience, healthcare/pharmaceutical client experience, and <strong>T-shaped design talent</strong><strong> </strong>with expertise across both UX and UI.</p>
<p>This freelance role combines hands-on design leadership, design-system thinking, modular asset creation, and the strategic use of AI to improve design quality, consistency, and efficiency.</p>
<h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Define, evolve, and scale <strong>design systems</strong> across products and platforms.</li>
<li>Establish visual direction and ensure consistency across digital experiences.</li>
<li>Design intuitive, polished interfaces for <strong>CRM and other digital platforms</strong>.</li>
<li>Build and maintain <strong>modular asset libraries</strong> that support scalable, efficient production.</li>
<li>Translate brand and business requirements into compelling UI experiences.</li>
<li>Partner with UX, strategy, technology, and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive experiences.</li>
<li>Apply <strong>T-shaped design skills</strong>, contributing across both UX and UI when needed.</li>
<li>Integrate <strong>AI tools and workflows</strong> to accelerate exploration, production, and quality.</li>
<li>Represent and advocate for strong visual craft across teams and client engagements.</li>
<li>Apply experience working with <strong>healthcare and pharmaceutical clients</strong>, including the ability to navigate regulated environments and complex stakeholder needs.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Senior-level experience in <strong>UI/product/digital design</strong>, preferably in an advertising agency or marketing environment.</li>
<li>Proven <strong>CRM</strong><strong> experience</strong><strong>.</strong></li>
<li>Experience creating and managing <strong>modular design and asset libraries</strong>.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience working with <strong>healthcare and/or pharmaceutical clients</strong>.</li>
<li>Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI, visual design, and design-system work.</li>
<li><strong>T-shaped skill set:</strong> deep expertise in UI with strong working knowledge of UX, interaction design, and user-centered design principles.</li>
<li>Experience defining visual direction and maintaining design consistency across multiple platforms.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern digital design patterns.</li>
<li>Experience using AI tools to enhance design exploration, iteration, and production.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently as a freelancer while managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>What Success Looks Like</strong></h2>
<p>The successful candidate will elevate the visual quality of digital experiences, create scalable design solutions, strengthen design-system adoption, and bring a balance of <strong>UI creative craft, UX thinking, CRM expertise, healthcare/pharma experience, and AI-enabled efficiency</strong> to every engagement.</p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Need:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ideally 3-6+ years of UI Design working with campaign management, project and product launch teams as well as demonstrated experience in advertising or marketing communications; a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in an Ad Agency is required</li>
<li>Self-driven with proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (CX, CRM, Strategy, Data, Creative, Project Management) across North American offices</li>
<li>Good understanding of emerging standards, user-centered design, the consumer journey, optimization and search practices</li>
<li>High EQ and the ability to read what a team needs to help motivate them</li>
