About The Role

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative Video Editor with strong AI, content production, colour grading and problem-solving skills to join the AirAsia MOVE creative team. You’ll be responsible for creating engaging social content, digital ads, campaign videos, event coverage and branded content. You should be comfortable taking a project from idea → shoot → edit → colour grade → final delivery, while using AI tools to enhance the creative process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form and long-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, Facebook and other digital platforms.
  • Create videos for social media, digital advertising, campaigns, promotions, events and brand communications.
  • Independently plan and shoot events, activations and social content from start to finish.
  • Handle basic production requirements including camera operation, framing, composition, lighting, audio and shot planning.
  • Capture spontaneous and social-first content at events and activations with minimal supervision.
  • Turn briefs, scripts, raw footage, stock footage and creative concepts into engaging videos.
  • Manipulate and creatively edit stock footage to make it feel original, premium and aligned with the brand, rather than simply using stock footage as-is.
  • Have a strong eye for colour, visual consistency and cinematic finishing.
  • Perform colour correction and colour grading using DaVinci Resolve, ensuring footage looks polished and consistent across different cameras and sources.
  • Match the look and colour of stock footage, AI-generated footage and original footage so they feel like part of the same visual world.
  • Create strong hooks, pacing, transitions, sound design, subtitles, motion graphics and visual storytelling.
  • Use AI tools to support and enhance creative production, including AI video generation, image generation, VFX, voice generation and AI-assisted post-production.
  • Combine AI-generated assets with real footage and traditional editing techniques.
  • Adapt content into different formats and durations, including 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9.
  • Keep up with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging social trends.
  • Work closely with creative, marketing, social media and production teams.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver quality work within tight timelines.
  • Maintain organised footage, project files, AI assets and final exports.
  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming and concept development.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, particularly colour correction and colour grading.
  • Good knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
  • Able to independently shoot video content and events from planning to execution.
  • Comfortable operating cameras, basic lighting and audio equipment.
  • Strong understanding of composition, framing and visual storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of social-first video editing and advertising.
  • Strong visual eye with the ability to transform ordinary footage or stock footage into polished, professional-looking content.
  • Able to match colour, lighting, grain, texture and overall visual treatment across footage from different sources.
  • Hands-on experience with AI creative tools such as Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, Gemini, ChatGPT or similar tools.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find solutions and work through challenges independently.
  • Able to take a brief and figure out the best approach without requiring step-by-step instructions or constant guidance.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to identify what needs to be done and take initiative.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to receive feedback, understand the objective behind it and apply it effectively.
  • Comfortable experimenting with new technology and learning new AI tools quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of brand consistency.

Ideal Candidate

You’re not just an editor. You can think of the idea, figure out how to execute it, shoot the content, edit the video, colour grade it and use AI to push the creative further. You don’t need to be spoon-fed. You can take a brief, understand the objective, think through the problem and find a way to make it happen.

You have a strong visual eye and know how to make even basic footage or stock assets feel premium, intentional and professionally produced through editing, colour, sound, pacing and creative treatment.

You’re proactive, resourceful and comfortable making creative decisions when things don’t go according to plan. Most importantly, you’re hands-on, curious, creative, solution-oriented and willing to experiment.

Experience

  • 1–3+ years of professional video editing/content production experience preferred.
  • Experience in advertising, social media, digital marketing, events, production or an in-house creative team is an advantage.
  • Experience independently shooting events or social content is preferred.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve and professional colour grading is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio/showreel required.
  • Candidates with strong AI-generated video work and a creative portfolio are encouraged to apply.
