Our Global Risk Intelligence and Technology Winter Co-op offers hands-on experience supporting the Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT) team. This opportunity is ideal for motivated students seeking practical experience in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, reporting, and risk intelligence. You will contribute to strategic initiatives that support proactive, intelligence-led decision-making across the enterprise while gaining exposure to real-world business challenges within a global financial services organization. This role provides an excellent foundation for students interested in analytics, data science, machine learning, risk management, and emerging technologies, while offering a pathway to our Graduate Recruitment Opportunities (GRO) Program for a seamless transition into your career.

Position Responsibilities

• Support the automation of monthly reporting within the risk and intelligence function.
• -
• Assist in the delivery of machine learning, large language model (LLM), and other advanced analytics initiatives across GRIT.
• -
• Drive process improvements across data collection, analysis, and dashboard development to generate actionable insights.
• -
• Validate AI and analytics models to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
• -
• Build and maintain scripts to test model performance and automate monitoring using tools such as Python or R.
• -
• Support data quality monitoring and preparation within the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL).
• -
• Collaborate with analytics, automation, and business stakeholders to support strategic risk initiatives.
• -
• Assist with documenting processes, procedures, project work, and ad hoc requests as required.

Required Qualifications

• -
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
• -
• Interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.
• -
• Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages used for data analysis and automation.
• -
• Experience with data preparation, cleaning, and analysis.
• -
• Experience using Power BI or similar dashboarding and reporting tools.
• -
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• -
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• -
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, ask thoughtful questions, and synthesize information from multiple sources.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• -
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Salary Range is Expected to be Between

$46,800.00 CAD - $62,400.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
