Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master at Heathrow, you will play a pivotal role in driving agile delivery across our technology and business teams. This role is essential to ensuring that Heathrow remains at the forefront of operational excellence and customer experience. You will work within our Digital and Technology function, collaborating closely with product owners, delivery managers, and engineering teams to deliver high-value solutions that keep the airport running smoothly and efficiently.
Your purpose is to champion agile principles, remove delivery obstacles, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Success in this role means enabling teams to deliver on time, adapt quickly to change, and consistently meet the needs of our passengers and stakeholders. You will be instrumental in shaping how we deliver technology solutions that support Heathrow’s strategic goals.

• Leading and coaching multiple Scrum teams to ensure effective adoption of agile practices and principles.
• Facilitating key Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to maintain team alignment and focus.
• Identifying and removing impediments that hinder delivery progress, escalating where necessary to maintain momentum.
• Collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to ensure backlogs are prioritised and delivery goals are clear and achievable.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across teams, promoting a culture of learning and adaptability.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to other Scrum Masters, contributing to the development of agile capability across Heathrow.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects in an agile environment.
• Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks, with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to removing delivery obstacles.
• Experience working with multiple teams and managing dependencies in a scaled agile environment.

Ideally you'll have the following

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or equivalent agile certification.
• Experience in the aviation, transport, or similarly complex operational environment.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools to support continuous delivery.
