We are looking for a caretaker to join Ashdown Primary School.

We are a split site school and the work will involve working across both our infant and junior sites.

We wish to appoint a reliable and self-motivated individual who has proven skills, knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

An ability to effectively undertake site services: cleaning, minor repair and maintenance tasks.

Good initiative and organisational skills.

-

Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety procedures and protocols is desirable, but training will be given.

Good interpersonal skills.

27.5 hours per week/52 weeks per year, this equates to an actual salary of £18,718-£19,014 pay award pending.

Hours of work: Monday-Friday hours tbc.

The hours will be divided up between maintenance – including health and safety checks and cleaning.

In addition, there is a weekly evening letting and a monthly Saturday let that require the caretaker to lock up. These additional duties are paid on a claims-only basis at 0.75 hours per lock up, at time and a half.
