About The Role

Petit Crenn Melbourne is a neighbourhood café and wine bar shaped by the soul of France and the energy of Australia. Classic dishes, prepared à la minute, meet thoughtful wines and cocktails, all guided by seasonality and restraint.
Petit Crenn Melbourne is scheduled to open in October 2026 and will be centrally located in the historic InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto.
About the Role
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across both morning and evening shifts. Open from Tuesday to Saturday (morning to evening).
As the Food & Beverage Attendant (waiter), you will take orders, make recommendations, deliver food & beverages to the table and generally provide exceptional service to guests to ensure they have an incredible dining experience. We also have opportunities for talented Baristas to create spectacularly good coffee that's worth coming back for every day!

Build strong relationships through your genuine passion for food and service, with both new and returning clientele to drive loyalty, gather feedback and enhance the dining experience.

Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by proactively engaging with guests, resolving concerns promptly and placing the guest experience at the centre of decision-making.

Welcome guests, take orders, make recommendations on dishes and beverages with your outstanding knowledge of the menu.

Maintain impeccable presentation, cleanliness and functionality of restaurant facilities in line with health regulations; value professional standards of uniform, grooming and personal hygiene

Identify and maximise opportunities to upsell products and experiences that meet guest needs.

Ensure service standards, RSA requirements, food safety regulations, workplace health and safety legislation, and company policies are consistently met.

Attend training and meetings as required and perform other duties as per the job description and as directed by your manager
What We Need from You
-
You must hold a valid and unrestricted work visa to work in Australia

A minimum of 1-year of related F&B / waitering / bar experience in a similar style upmarket cafe / restaurant, wine bar or luxury hotel that values high service standards.

Demonstrate a genuine passion for food and wine.

Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification

- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, and work as part of a team with respect and integrity.

Knowledge of Safe Food Handling

WSET certification and a knowledge of wines is desirable (but we will also train you!)

Excellent verbal and written English skills

Experience with French cuisine and a working knowledge of the French language is a plus.
