Product Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the Role

This is a full-stack product engineering role at an early-stage AI recruitment tech startup, working directly alongside founders to build and ship user-facing features that power an AI-driven talent matching platform. You will have broad ownership across the stack, from scoping and design through to production deployment, and your work will directly shape both the product and the technical direction of the company.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end product features from requirements and API design through to production deployment.

• Build frontend experiences in TypeScript and React/Next.js that balance usability and performance.
• -
• Design and implement backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling including CI/CD, monitoring, and testing.
• -
• Integrate LLM and AI capabilities into product flows so that intelligence is reliable and useful for end users.
• -
• Collaborate directly with founders, product, and design to prioritize work and define measurable success metrics.
• -
• Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions, making pragmatic tradeoffs suited to early-stage growth.

What We're Looking For

• -
• 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience with a clear track record of shipping user-facing products.
• -
• Strong full-stack skills: TypeScript and React/Next.js on the frontend, plus backend development in Python or Node.js.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• -
• Practical, production experience integrating LLMs or AI services into real applications, not research-only work.
• -
• Demonstrated product sense and ability to translate user problems into practical, measurable solutions.
• -
• Comfort operating in small teams with limited process, high ambiguity, and a wide range of responsibilities across frontend, backend, and DevOps.

• Experience with multi-tenant or enterprise-ready systems, real-time architectures, or high-throughput applications is a plus.

• Background in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or legal, or in complex internal tooling, is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $150,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
