We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Steward to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout our kitchen areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service.

Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain high hygiene standards

Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and workstations

Operate dishwashing machines and ensure their proper functioning

Collect and remove trash and recycling materials from designated areas

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, reporting shortages as needed

Assist kitchen and service staff with setup and breakdown of buffets or banquets

Follow hotel safety and sanitation policies, including proper chemical handling

Sort, stack, and deliver clean dishes to appropriate storage areas

Handle all equipment carefully to prevent breakage or damage

Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks, such as oven cleaning and grease trap maintenance

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience as a steward or dishwasher in a hotel or restaurant is advantageous
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety procedures
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
