Essential Duties of the General-Purpose Manager

• Team Leadership & Supervision

• *o Manage and lead team members, including hiring,
• training, scheduling, and performance management.
• o Ensure staff are trained in proper coating techniques, equipment use, and safety
• procedures.*

• Operations Management

• *o Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of department, ovens, and
• conveyor systems.
• o Monitor production schedules and coordinate department activities to meet deadlines and
• quality requirements.
• o Implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance
• efficiency.*

• Quality Assurance

• *o Ensure products meet quality specifications and industry standards (e.g., thickness,
• adhesion, appearance).
• o Conduct inspections and tests of products and maintain accurate records.
• o Work closely with the Quality team to resolve defects or nonconformance issues.
• o Maintain documentation of all ISO/Quality related processes and procedures and daily
• quality inspections.*

• Equipment & Maintenance

• *o Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• o Troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize downtime.*

• Inventory & Supply Chain

• *o Monitor and manage inventory.
• o Coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate stock and timely ordering of materials.*

• Compliance & Safety

• *o Enforce OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety and environmental policies.
• o Maintain proper documentation of all safety training, procedures, and incident reports.*

Requirements of the General Purpose Manager

• *• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications in industrial
• coatings, manufacturing, or related field preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies is

a plus.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or production management

systems.*

Physical Requirements of the General Purpose Manager

• *This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The
• temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role
• will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb, and push/pull frequently. With proper safety
• equipment, an individual in this role may work above ground level (off the ground) occasionally.
• An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them.
• An individual in this role must move 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. An
• individual in this role will remain stationary and move about the factory as needed per essential
• duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and
• in writing, and this role requires individuals to read, follow and give written procedures to
• employees with or without reasonable accommodations.*
