Project Manager

Kent Data Centres is built on more than a century of engineering expertise within Kent, a global leader in integrated energy services. We operate exclusively in data centre and critical environments, acting as lead consultants, technical advisors, and commissioning partners while supporting clients from feasibility through design, delivery, and operational handover. To support our continued growth in the Americas, we're looking for two client-facing Technical Project Managers / Data Centre SMEs to lead engagements across the Americas region.

As Technical Project Manager, you will support Kent Data Centres’ Americas growth and be based in Houston or Dallas, TX. You will own client relationships across data centre consultancy engagements and act as design lead on consultancy and design projects, managing subject matter experts to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery.

Skills and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide SME leadership on power, cooling, and resilience strategy, including tier/reliability requirements
• Serve as SME on local codes and requirements, working with our local and global subject matter experts to guide design teams through all project stages
• Run design workshops, key stage presentations, and progress meetings; produce stage design reports
• Own quality control of project deliverables and liaise with all engineering teams and disciplines to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Interface directly with clients and contractors across bidding, award, execution, and project closeout
• Evaluate client enquiries, specifications, and drawings
• Support technical bid responses — formulating and reviewing technical content, submitting clarifications during tendering
• Travel to client, supplier, and third-party meetings as required

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification

• 5+ years in data centre consultancy, design, or mission-critical project delivery required
• Working knowledge of data centre/local standards, MEP systems, and commissioning frameworks required
• CDCDP, PMP, or PE a strong plus

Communication

• Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies

• Strong client-facing/advisory presence — comfortable leading design workshops and stakeholder meetings
• Commercially minded — comfortable owning project scope, budget, and margin alongside technical delivery
