ROV Supervisor

SSR ROV Supervisor must lead and supervise ROV operations, personnel, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution in accordance with Oceaneering policy, procedures, and client requirements.

Ensure safe ROV operations in accordance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

Lead and supervise the ROV team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring personnel competency.

Manage operational risk, including conducting toolbox talks, participating in risk assessments, and stopping work when unsafe conditions exist.

Coordinate ROV activities with vessel management, client representatives, bridge personnel, dive teams, survey teams, and other project stakeholders.

Ensure equipment readiness and maintenance, including oversight of planned maintenance, repairs, fault finding, and system performance.

Manage emergency response activities involving the ROV system and personnel.

Coach, mentor, and assess personnel, supporting competence development in accordance with Oceaneering competence and training standards.

Liaise with clients and shore-based management regarding operational status, technical issues, personnel requirements, and project performance.

Required

• Highschool diploma.
• 2+ years as an ROV Supervisor.
• Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and any other regionally mandated offshore work requirement documents as appropriate.

Preferred

• Engineering Technologist or Technician diploma.
• Valid CAPP compliant offshore training including Basic Survival Training, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Fall Protection and Regulatory Awareness.

Working Conditions

• This position is considered OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows.
• Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
• Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
• Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels and the light is intense/glare.
• Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
• Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
• Work surface is stable, height is elevated.
