• Rate of pay: Associate Lecturer A - £54.28 to C - £35.63
• Hours: Variable hours
• Fixed term until 31 October 2027

The Languages Subject Area of the Guildhall School of Business and Law (School of Business, Environment and Law) invites applications for an Associate Lecturer position in teaching modules of the MA Arabic Language Teaching and contribute to teaching on the Open Language Programme (Arabic), starting the week commencing in the autumn term for the 2026/2027 academic year.

We are looking for an excellent Associate Lecturer in these areas with a student focused approach to learning and who will pursue excellence in teaching. You will be responsible for leading the MA Arabic Language Teaching, coordinating the Open Language Programme, leading modules and teaching them. The position also involves preparation of teaching material, teaching, supervision of MA dissertations and marking assignments.

You will have a strong commitment to the University’s values, mission and strategic plan; a “coaching and developing” approach when dealing with colleagues and students; and working collegially; valuing the contribution of others and sharing knowledge and expertise.
