Who we needAs the Actuary, Experience Studies and Special Projects, you will play a key role within our Valuation team, combining actuarial expertise, strategic thinking, and innovation to drive meaningful business impact. We are looking for a curious, analytical, and forward-thinking professional who thrives on transforming complex data into actionable insights and influencing important business <decisions.In> this role, you will lead actuarial experience studies, analyzing historical experience, industry trends, and financial results to develop well-supported assumptions that contribute to valuation, capital management, and financial reporting. Leveraging a deep understanding of product design and policyholder characteristics, you will develop robust analyses and meaningful insights, communicating recommendations and findings to the Appointed Actuary and Chief <Actuary.You> will also lead strategic projects spanning modeling accuracy, operational efficiency, and business analysis, helping evolve how our actuarial function supports the broader organization. However, it may be based in multiple locations: Toronto (ON), or Waterloo (ON), Montreal (QC), or Burnaby (BC).
