Your Role

As military operations become increasingly complex and data-driven, the demand for intelligent, autonomous, and resilient systems continues to grow. We develop advanced solutions that enable faster, better-informed decisions across multiple domains and help shape the future of defence technology.

We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead strategically important development projects within autonomous systems, AI-enabled capabilities, and future battlespace solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complex projects by leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating closely with customers, users, and key stakeholders.

You will manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, balancing technology, operational needs, and business objectives while ensuring delivery with the right quality, cost, schedule, and risk management. Working alongside systems engineers, software developers, AI specialists, architects, and domain experts, you will contribute to capabilities that play a vital role in future defence and security operations.

We see AI-enabled tools and modern ways of working as key enablers for improving efficiency and quality. You will help drive effective project practices while ensuring that decisions are made with consideration for operational, technical, security, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development projects within autonomous systems and future battlespace solutions from initiation to delivery.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure effective collaboration between customers, users, and development teams.
• Manage priorities, dependencies, and risks across projects and programmes.
• Contribute to strategic planning, business development, and portfolio growth.
• Support the continuous improvement of project methodologies and ways of working.

The position is based in Solna.

We are looking for an experienced project leader with a proven ability to successfully manage complex development projects in technology-intensive environments.

You are a confident and inspiring leader who builds engagement, fosters strong relationships, and consistently delivers results even when priorities and circumstances evolve. You combine a strategic mindset with the ability to understand and navigate technical details when required.

You thrive in an environment where technological innovation is combined with high demands on robustness, security, and operational effectiveness.

We believe you have

• A BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of project management experience within systems development, defence, software, telecommunications, or a similar technology-intensive industry.
• Experience leading large and complex development projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• A solid understanding of systems engineering and product development lifecycles.
• Experience working in security-sensitive, safety-critical, or otherwise complex technical environments.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, risks, and project deliveries.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish and English.
• A genuine interest in defence technology, autonomy, and AI-enabled solutions.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an advantage

• Autonomous and AI-enabled systems.
• Human-machine teaming and decision support solutions.
• Defence industry programmes or collaboration with armed forces and government agencies.
• Programme management and large-scale system deliveries.
• Agile development and traditional project governance models.
• Systems engineering, requirements management, and solution architecture.
• Multi-sensor integration, data fusion, perception systems, or real-time mission systems.
• Unmanned systems, autonomous capabilities, or machine learning applications.
• International projects and customer collaborations.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
