<p class="isSelectedEnd">Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is looking for a <strong>Relief Veterinary Technician / Assistant</strong> to join our emergency team in Kalamazoo, MI. <h2>What You'll Do</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><em>Every shift brings something new. As a Relief Veterinary Technician / Assistant, you'll:</em></p>

<li>Assist veterinarians with emergency and critical care cases</li>
<li>Perform patient triage and ongoing patient assessments</li>
<li>Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples</li>
<li>Place and maintain IV catheters</li>
<li>Administer medications and IV fluids accurately</li>
<li>Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency procedures</li>
<li>Perform venipuncture and laboratory testing</li>
<li>Obtain diagnostic radiographs</li>
<li>Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients</li>
<li>Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates</li>
<li>Accurately document treatments and patient care</li>
<li>Educate and communicate with pet owners during stressful situations</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment</li>
<li>Support CPR efforts and other emergency life-saving procedures</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care</li>

<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>

<li><strong>MUST HAVE </strong>experience as a Veterinary Technician / Assistant at least 1 year in the field - (emergency experience is a bonus!) -</li>
<li>Stay cool under pressure and can adapt quickly</li>
<li>Love learning and growing your skills</li>
<li>Are a supportive teammate who enjoys collaboration</li>
<li>Care deeply about patient care and client experience</li>
<li>Are comfortable working day shifts, overnights, weekends, or holiday shifts as needed</li>
<li>Are comfortable with anesthesia, drawing blood and working on unique cases </li>
