Process Coach

As a Process Coach, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities to ensure production targets and quality standards are met within your assigned area. You will lead a group of team members, standardize work, drive root cause analysis on quality issues using tools such as QLS and NGAVS, implement containment and corrective actions, and support Ford Production System (FPS) practices. You will also manage people-related processes, escalate issues when needed, coordinate field/campaign follow-up, and ensure controlled documents and versatility matrices remain up to date. This role requires close collaboration across departments to guarantee smooth unit flow and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities for external candidates

• Coordinate daily actions to deliver production results aligned to SQDCME.
• Coordinate actions to improve line quality performance.
• Coordinate campaign follow-up activities.
• Follow up on Tip Level / PDI / FCPA reports.
• Follow up on damage reports.
• Maintain and update controlled line documentation.

Key responsibilities

Daily SQDCME Production Coordination

• Daily review of SQDCME indicators with the work team.
• Daily standardization of base technicians.
• Analysis of quality problems using QLS, NGAVS, and the team to determine root causes.
• Implementation of Containment Actions (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA).
• Model FPS through tasks such as start-up, verification, close-out, LPR, and standardization.
• Update the versatility matrix.
• Document kaizens and projects using DMAIC format.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to follow up on units.
• Escalate Level 2 issues through the DCC.
• Basic people administration through PeopleSoft (DROT) system.
• Manage staff to ensure at least 3x3 versatility compliance.
• Follow up on Constraint Management meetings.
• Collaborate on area-level improvements (ZCC).

Line Quality Improvement

• Daily review of reported line rejects (FTT).
• Implementation of containment actions (ICA).
• Root cause identification through unit history and production process analysis.
• Coordination and implementation of corrective actions (PCA).

Campaign Coordination

• Follow up on quality issues in finished-unit yards.
• Analyze problem scope, root cause, temporary containments (ICA), and permanent corrective actions (PCA).
• Define repair method, driver logistics, yard distribution, and repair flow.
• Supervise repairs.

Tip Level / PDI / FCPA Follow-up

• Work with the team to prevent leaks and create containments to reduce defects that could result in customer calls.

Damage Tracking

• Coordinate with the damage tracker on reports of damage occurring on the production line or in yards.
• Apply containments and corrections as reported.

Controlled Documentation Updates

• Follow up on QPS within the versatility matrix.
• Report abnormalities in documents used within the line.

Qualifications for external candidates

• Completed Bachelor's degree.
• 1 year or less of work experience.
• Spanish and English language proficiency.
• Strong conflict management, communication, leadership, and proactivity skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and statistical tools.
